There was a time when MTV decided to focus on the real lives of some high schoolers in Laguna Beach, and the world was never the same. In 2004, right after the success of Fox’s “The O.C.,” MTV debuted “Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County.” The reality show took a deep dive into the personal lives of some of the hottest high schoolers, including Stephen Colletti, Lauren Conrad, Kristin Cavallari, Lo Bosworth, and more. Originally, “Laguna Beach” was set to be a high school drama, but due to filming restrictions at the actual high school, it ended up spotlighting the cast’s wild home lives instead.
In the first season of “Laguna Beach,” Conrad was the narrator, and the main storyline revolved around a love triangle she found herself in with Cavallari and Colletti. Then, in season 2, Conrad went off to college, leaving Cavallari to take over as the narrator. Sadly, when her season ended, a new group was introduced, but it just couldn’t live up to the original cast we all knew and loved.

Stephen Colletti
After his time on “Laguna Beach,” Colletti pursued a career in acting. He appeared on shows like “One Tree Hill,” “Hit the Floor,” and “Everyone is Doing Great.” In 2018, he went back to MTV to star in “The Hills: New Beginnings” alongside some of his former “Laguna Beach” castmates. Stephen Colletti is still in the spotlight, and he’s doing great!
Lauren Conrad
Our favorite narrator has come a long way since her days in Laguna Beach. After “Laguna Beach,” Conrad went on to star in her own spin-off show, “The Hills.” She also launched a successful fashion line and lifestyle brand. Plus, she’s a bestselling author with several books under her belt. Lauren Conrad is the definition of success.
Kristin Cavallari
This fierce girl boss continued to make waves after her time on “Laguna Beach.” She starred in “The Hills” and later developed her own reality show, “Very Cavallari.” She’s also a successful author and launched her own jewelry and clothing line. Kristin Cavallari is out there making her mark in the world, one fabulous step at a time.
Lo Bosworth
After “Laguna Beach,” Bosworth went on to attend college and start her own lifestyle website. She’s also a published author, and she’s become a wellness advocate with her own line of supplements. Lo Bosworth is all about that healthy lifestyle, and we love to see it!
Talan Torriero
After his time in Laguna Beach, Torriero tried his hand at acting and modeling. He didn’t quite make it to A-list celebrity status, but he did find success in the real estate industry. Talan Torriero is still living that California dream, just in a slightly different way.
Christina Schuller
Since her time on “Laguna Beach,” Schuller has kept a low profile. She went on to attend college and has stayed out of the reality TV spotlight. It seems she’s just living her best life away from the cameras, and we can definitely respect that.
Jason Wahler
Wahler faced some personal struggles after his time on “Laguna Beach” and “The Hills.” He went through addiction and legal issues but has since turned his life around. He’s now a married family man and an advocate for addiction recovery. Jason Wahler is proof that it’s never too late to make a fresh start.
Taylor Cole
After “Laguna Beach,” Cole pursued a career in modeling and acting. She appeared in various TV shows and movies, including “The Originals” and “The Ganzfeld Haunting.” Taylor Cole is still lighting up the screen and showing off her talent.
While some of the “Laguna Beach” cast members have continued to thrive in the spotlight, others have chosen to step away from the cameras and focus on different paths. No matter where they are now, we can’t help but feel thankful for the entertainment they brought into our lives. It’s like they always say, “Once a Laguna Beacher, always a Laguna Beacher.”
