How did Netflix’s ‘Daredevil’ showrunner respond to the behind-the-scenes troubles of ‘Born Again’?

Daredevil fans, we’ve got some news for you. The highly anticipated Daredevil: Born Again series on Disney Plus seems to be going through some behind-the-scenes turmoil. The show’s former showrunner, Steven DeKnight, who was in charge of Season 1 on Netflix, recently commented on the situation.

Marvel Studios recently announced that they would be revamping Daredevil: Born Again, as well as changing their approach to the MCU Disney Plus shows. While some fans might be excited about these changes, DeKnight made it clear that he isn’t celebrating the fact that the series is being mostly scrapped.

In a recent tweet, DeKnight clarified his stance, saying, “I am not happy the show is scrapped and have consistently stated the opposite. However, I AM delighted that they finally realized you need an actual showrunner who’s a writer to make a series work.” It seems that DeKnight is pleased that Marvel Studios is recognizing the importance of having a showrunner who is also a writer.

It’s still unclear how much Marvel Studios will change about Daredevil: Born Again. However, there are hopes that the series will bring back some of the elements that made the original Netflix show so beloved, such as a focus on action. Fans can only hope that the MCU can salvage this Disney Plus series, and maybe even consider bringing back DeKnight as the showrunner.

As for what to expect from the new Daredevil series, Marvel Studios is tight-lipped about the plot details. However, it has been confirmed that Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, Sandrine Holt, Margarita Levieva, Michael Gandolfini, Nikki M. James, and Michael Gaston will be joining Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk, a.k.a Kingpin.
