Did ‘Loki’ fans discover an ‘X-Men’ Easter egg in Season 2?

The highly anticipated second season of Loki has recently premiered on Disney Plus, and fans are already buzzing about a potential X-Men easter egg hidden in the show. This exciting discovery was made by eagle-eyed viewers during a scene featuring Ke Huy Quan’s Orobourous leading Loki into the Temporal Loom.

In this particular scene, many fans believe that the shape of the door to the room subtly references the iconic door designs from the X-Men films. While it may be easy to miss, the inclusion of this easter egg has sparked speculation and excitement among Marvel enthusiasts.

This easter egg gains significance due to the involvement of both Ke Huy Quan and the head of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, in the X-Men films. With their connections to the franchise, it isn’t far-fetched to imagine that the set designers of Loki season 2 deliberately added these nods as a tribute.

However, the burning question remains—could this potentially open the door for the appearance of actual mutants in the Disney Plus series? Marvel fans are eagerly awaiting further developments in this regard.

Leading the cast of Loki season 2 is the talented Tom Hiddleston, reprising his role as the charismatic God of Mischief. Joining him are Owen Wilson, Jonathan Majors, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Tara Strong, Eugene Cordero, Rafael Casal, Kate Dickie, Liz Carr, Ke Huy Quan, and Neil Ellice.

Eric Martin has taken over as the head writer for season 2, replacing Michael Waldron, and both writers also serve as executive producers alongside Tom Hiddleston, Justin Benson, and Aaron Moorhead. Benson and Moorhead have directed the majority of episodes for the upcoming season, adding their creative vision to the show.
