In the latest episode of Sister Wives, Meri Brown expressed her feelings of being the third wheel while spending time with Kody Brown and Robyn Brown. Despite their efforts to make her feel included, Meri still felt out of place. She even compared her situation to that of being the other woman.
Meri and Kody were legally married from 1990 to 2014 but continued to be spiritually married for years after. Their tumultuous relationship has been showcased on the reality TV series Sister Wives. In the season 17 finale, Kody revealed that he no longer wanted to be in a relationship with Meri. In January, they released a joint statement announcing the permanent termination of their marriage. They share one child, Leon, who came out as transgender in June 2022.
During the same episode, Kody’s ex-wives Janelle Brown and Christine Brown had their own Christmas get-together at a vacation rental. Janelle described the experience as peaceful and joyful, enjoying the change of tradition after celebrating Christmas as a family for the past 30 years. Christine, on the other hand, expressed her excitement at having everyone in the same place again, making it feel festive.
Kody’s relationships with his wives have had their ups and downs over the years, but it was a surprise to many fans when nearly all of his wives started leaving him. In November 2021, Christine decided to end her relationship with Kody and move to Utah, citing a loss of voice in the family. Kody expressed sadness and regret over the end of their marriage, questioning his faith and the functional polygamy they had portrayed to the world.
During the episode, Kody also discussed celebrating the holidays without Janelle and Christine. It was evident that he was still struggling with the aftermath of their departures, feeling a void in the love he had once shared with them.
Despite the challenges within their polygamous family, Kody and Robyn’s bond continues to grow stronger. They share two children together and Kody has also adopted Robyn’s three children from a previous marriage.
