Christopher Nolan keeps mum on ‘The Batman’ because he’s the real Dark Knight.

Hey, folks! So, you know how everyone has been dying to know what Christopher Nolan thinks of The Batman ever since it hit theaters in 2022? Well, buckle up, because the man himself has finally broken his silence… kinda.

Let’s set the stage here. The Batman was a game-changer for the Caped Crusader, with many folks even daring to say it’s just as good, if not better, than Nolan’s The Dark Knight. Naturally, this got fans everywhere eagerly waiting for Nolan’s thoughts on the matter. So, when the big question was finally popped in an interview with Variety, Nolan responded with a cheeky, “No comment.”

Why, you ask? Well, Nolan simply explained that if he were to share his thoughts on The Batman, that’s all anyone would talk about in the interview. And, well, we have to give it to the guy for being right about that. Here we are, focusing on his non-comment like he predicted.

But wait, there’s more! While Nolan was being sly about The Batman, he did have some choice words about the industry as a whole. He called out studios for their mismanagement of films, blaming the streaming rush for causing chaos in the industry.

“Part of the craziness with the labor negotiations this summer has been the studios sitting there and going, ‘Well, we can’t pay you because we don’t have enough money,’” Nolan said. “To which the answer is ‘Well, you don’t have enough money because you’re not managing your business correctly. You’re not getting the same amount of money for your product that you were before.’ The shift to streaming has disrupted the entire industry and created problems for everybody.”

The Future of Robert Pattinson’s Batman Series

Okay, so, after the wild ride that was The Batman, what’s next for Robert Pattinson’s brooding and bad-ass Batman? The first movie left us hanging with Batman catching the Riddler, who had flooded Gotham City. And as for The Batman: Part II… well, details are about as scarce as a sighting of the Bat himself.

But here’s the juicy tidbit for all you Bat-fans: the big bosses over at DC Studios have let slip that The Batman: Part II is set to swoop into theaters in October 2025. And speaking of big, the first movie made a whopping $770.8 million at the worldwide box office, earning itself the title of the seventh highest-grossing movie of 2022.

So, there you have it! Whether or not Nolan shows his cards on The Batman, the Batman series is set to keep on churning out blockbusters for the foreseeable future.
