John Oliver humorously compares Elon Musk to movie characters in a recent roast.

In a scathing roast on Last Week Tonight, John Oliver targets Elon Musk, highlighting controversies and comparing him to movie villains. Ouch!

John Oliver took aim at Elon Musk on Last Week Tonight’s latest episode, and boy did he not hold back. The comedian delivered a scathing roast of the billionaire, highlighting all the controversies Musk has been embroiled in throughout the past year. And let’s just say, it was a wild ride.

First up, Oliver compared Musk to every bad guy you can think of in a movie. From being the “Lex Luthor posing for the cover of Metropolis Maniacs monthly” to “I just bought your media company, I’m about to strip you for parts,” Oliver spared no expense in painting Musk as the ultimate movie villain. And then, the piece de resistance: calling him the “less f**kable reimagining of Billy Zane’s character in Titanic.” Ouch, that’s gotta sting.

But it didn’t stop there. Oliver painstakingly recounted Musk’s laundry list of headlines, from testing “the most powerful rocket ever built” to the infamous Tesla recall that involved a whopping two million vehicles over the autopilot software. And who could forget Musk’s brush with controversy after some unsavory posts on X (formerly known as Twitter)? Suffice to say, the man has had quite the year.

In a particularly bold move, Oliver even went so far as to compare Musk to the iconic Chip from the Disney animated series Rescue Rangers. It’s safe to say Musk probably wasn’t too thrilled about that one.

But as if that wasn’t enough, Oliver also dragged up Musk’s past glory days, when he was regarded as the real-life Iron Man and even made a cameo in Marvel’s Iron Man 2. Ah, the good ol’ days. And let’s not forget when Musk was likened to none other than Henry Ford, the business magnate and founder of Ford Motor Company. Oliver cleverly twisted the knife by quipping that Musk, like Ford, had built on technology invented by others – and also shared a little something in common on the antisemitism front. Ouch, that’s gotta hurt.

All in all, Oliver’s roast of Musk was a brutally hilarious takedown of the billionaire, and we can only imagine the stir it’s caused. After all, when John Oliver decides to roast you, you better believe it’s going to be one for the ages. Elon Musk, watch out – the world is listening, and it’s got a sense of humor.
