She underwent her first round of chemotherapy in February. Her younger sister, Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, took to Instagram to reflect on the family’s struggles, emphasizing the importance of being supportive and understanding of others going through their own battles.
In May, Shannon provided an update on Anna’s health battle, mentioning that this round of chemo had been particularly tough for her. She opened up about the emotional toll of watching her daughter go through such a difficult journey, acknowledging the challenges of dealing with the gravity of the situation.
