Will Donald Sutherland be honored with a Canadian stamp?

Fans of legendary actor Donald Sutherland will soon have the opportunity to honor him in a unique way: by licking his backside. Canada Post has announced that the 88-year-old actor will be honored with his very own stamp.
The soon-to-be-released stamp features a profile of Donald Sutherland along with a list of some of his most notable films, including “Klute,” “M*A*S*H,” “Fellini’s Casanova,” “Ordinary People,” “The Italian Job,” and “The Hunger Games.” The stamp also includes French translations of the film titles.
The decision to honor Donald Sutherland was made by Canada Post, which commented, “Sutherland’s incredible talents and eclectic tastes led him to take on a broad range of roles… With his international success, Sutherland has remained a proud Canadian and starred in many Canadian productions.”
Donald Sutherland joins the ranks of other esteemed actors who have received this honor, including John Candy, Mike Myers, Michael J. Fox, Fay Wray, Mary Pickford, and many more.
Although being featured on a stamp is a great accomplishment, many fans feel that there is another important recognition missing from Donald Sutherland’s resume— an Oscar nomination. Surprisingly, he has never received a nomination for a competitive Academy Award, despite his remarkable performances in films such as “Klute,” “Don’t Look Now,” and “Ordinary People.” However, he did receive an honorary Oscar in 2017. Additionally, Sutherland has garnered numerous Golden Globe nominations for his work in both film and television, winning for TV movies “Path to War” and “Citizen X,” the latter of which also earned him a Primetime Emmy.
Throughout his more than 60-year-long career, Donald Sutherland has consistently impressed audiences with his talent and versatility. Even at the age of 88, he continues to take on new projects. His upcoming film, “Lawmen: Bass Reeves,” is highly anticipated by his fans.
