Actor Darren Morfitt is currently making waves on Coronation Street as Eliza’s dodgy dad, Dom Everett. While Darren Morfitt’s character may be causing chaos on the cobbles, his real-life is much more settled. Prior to joining Coronation Street, Darren, aged 49, has had a long and successful career in television and film.
One of his notable recent appearances was in the hit BBC drama series Line of Duty, where he played dirty cop Colin Brackley in Season one. He has also starred in Star Wars: The Last Jedi and the British horror films Dog Soldiers and Doomsday, both directed by Neil Marshall.
Behind the scenes, Darren Morfitt is married to actress Helen Latham. Helen, aged 47, is best known for her role as Lucy Milligan in two seasons of the drama series Footballers’ Wives. She has also appeared in Brookside, The Bill, and even won a Stars in their Eyes celebrity special as Dolly Parton.
Helen and Darren met at theatre school in 1995 and tied the knot nine years later, surrounded by friends and family. They have been together for nearly 30 years.
