So, picture this: you’re watching Netflix‘s live special of “The Roast of Tom Brady” and things are going pretty smoothly until Jeff Ross decides to make a massage joke about Patriots owner Robert Kraft. Awkward, right?
Kevin Hart was on hosting duties, but it was Jeff Ross who stole the show with his questionable humor. Dressed in a bloody No. 32 football jersey with “Roast J Simpson” on the back, Ross came in ready to roast anyone in his path.
He started off by poking fun at Brady’s NFL draft experience, suggesting that he was only picked in the sixth round because Belichick’s dog accidentally hit the keyboard. Classic roast material, right?
But then Ross decided to take it a step too far by bringing up a moment when the rookie Brady reportedly asked Kraft for a massage. The audience didn’t know whether to laugh or cringe, and even Brady himself looked uncomfortable on stage.
Now, for context, Kraft had previously been involved in a scandal concerning a Florida massage parlor, although he was never charged. So, you can imagine why Brady wasn’t too thrilled about Ross’s joke.
Brady didn’t hold back and approached Ross at the podium, whispering those iconic words into the microphone, “Don’t say that shit again.” The tension in the room was palpable as Ross nervously backtracked and tried to smooth things over with some quick compliments for Kraft.
But leave it to Kevin Hart to lighten the mood. He called out Ross for kissing up to Brady and joked about his career being on life support. It was a roast within a roast – the meta comedy we never knew we needed.
Thankfully, Brady and Ross managed to hug it out on stage after the incident, showing that it was all in good fun. And to top it off, Kraft was spotted laughing in the audience, proving that he was a good sport about the whole thing.
All in all, the Netflix special was a wild ride, with Brady taking jokes from some of the biggest names in comedy as part of Netflix Is a Joke Fest. Who knew a roast could get so tense and hilarious at the same time?
