Not only did we get a thrilling trailer, but Disney also treated us to a brand new poster for The Acolyte. Check it out below:

The Acolyte promises to deliver an intense storyline as an investigation into a series of crimes leads a respected Jedi Master (played by Lee Jung-jae) face-to-face with a dangerous warrior from his past (portrayed by Amandla Stenberg). With sinister forces at play, the duo delves into a dark path where nothing is as it seems.

This star-studded series features Amandla Stenberg, Lee Jung-jae, Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Charlie Barnett, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, Dean-Charles Chapman, Joonas Suotamo, and Carrie-Anne Moss.

Created by Leslye Headland, The Acolyte is based on the world of Star Wars by George Lucas. It boasts a lineup of executive producers including Kathleen Kennedy, Simon Emanuel, Jeff F. King, and Jason Micallef. Additionally, Charmaine DeGraté and Kor Adana serve as co-executive producers while Rayne Roberts, Damian Anderson, Eileen Shim, and Rob Bredow fill the roles of producers.

Directorial duties are split among Headland herself for the premiere episodes, along with Kogonada, Alex Garcia Lopez, and Hanelle Culpepper for subsequent episodes. And let’s not forget the award-winning composer Michael Abels, known for his incredible work on Get Out and Us, who has lent his talents to score The Acolyte.

Mark your calendars for Tuesday, June 4, when the first two episodes of The Acolyte will premiere exclusively on Disney+. Set roughly a century before Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, this series is bound to offer a fresh and unique perspective on the beloved franchise.

With the excitement building up for the debut of The Acolyte, fans are eagerly anticipating what Leslye Headland has in store for the Star Wars universe. Stay tuned for more updates from a galaxy far, far away!
