America Ferrera and her fellow “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” stars, Blake Lively, Amber Tamblyn, and Alexis Bledel, recently had a delightful reunion at a special screening of “Barbie” in New York City. The quartet posed for pink-themed pics to celebrate the occasion, reminding us all of the magic of their 2005 movie about a mysterious pair of pants that somehow fit all of them perfectly despite their differing sizes. It’s like the jeans were magical or something!
Ferrera took to Instagram to share the love, gushing about her “Sisterhood” sisters and their pink celebration. And speaking of Barbie, Ferrera plays Gloria, a working mother in the Greta Gerwig movie, which is now streaming on Max. But what about a sequel, you ask? Well, Warner Bros. and Mattel haven’t confirmed anything, but there have been whispers about it. In fact, in a recent interview with Gerwig, the topic of a potential Ken spinoff movie came up.
When asked about a Ken movie, Gerwig played it cool and didn’t shut down the possibility entirely. It seems there’s a lot of untold Ken stories just waiting to be shared. In fact, Gerwig mentioned that they had so much material for Ken that didn’t make it into the final script. Maybe a film focusing solely on Ken’s adventures is in our future! We’ll just have to wait and see. Either way, we can’t help but be excited about the prospect of more “Sisterhood” reunions and potential Barbie sequels. And who knows, maybe there’s even magic pants in our future too!
