BLACKPINK says “We’re stuck with YG for a few more years, but we love it!”

So, after months of intense negotiations, it looks like BLACKPINK is sticking around with YG Entertainment! The K-pop group finally reached an agreement with the entertainment agency on Wednesday (December 6), and it’s safe to say that fans are breathing a collective sigh of relief.

YG Entertainment issued a statement confirming the news, saying, “We have successfully reached an agreement within our board of directors regarding the signing of exclusive group contracts for all four members of BLACKPINK, our esteemed artists.” Phew, that was a close call!

In case you weren’t clued in, BLACKPINK’s previous contracts expired in August, following their debut in 2016. But fear not, fellow BLINKs, as the group is set to continue making awesome music and wowing us with their incredible performances for years to come.

However, it’s not all smooth sailing just yet. While the group has renewed their contract for group activities, individual contracts for each member still need to be finalized. It’s like one of those TV shows where you think the main characters are safe, and then bam! Plot twist! Drama ensues, and you’re left on the edge of your seat. Can they please hurry up and sort this out? We need more BLACKPINK in our lives!

But let’s not dwell on the negative. Instead, let’s focus on the fact that BLACKPINK isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. And thank goodness for that, because can you imagine a world without their iconic bops and killer dance moves? We shudder at the mere thought.

And speaking of K-pop, it’s always sad when we see a beloved group disband. So, let’s take a moment to appreciate BLACKPINK’s commitment to sticking together and blessing us with their talent. We love you, girls!

Thank you, YG Entertainment, for making sure that we’ll get to see more awkward group photos and adorable interactions from BLACKPINK in the future. We can’t wait for what’s to come!
