In an interview with People magazine, Bacon gushed about how it was a “bucket list thing” for him to work with the legendary Murphy. I mean, who wouldn’t want to work with one of the greatest movie stars ever, right?
In the movie directed by Mark Molloy, Murphy reprises his role as Detroit detective Axel Foley, while Bacon plays Captain Grant. And get this, even though both actors rose to fame in the 80s, they never really crossed paths back then. Bacon admitted that they probably met before but he couldn’t remember. But let me tell you, seeing them together on screen was pure magic!
Bacon couldn’t stop praising Murphy’s comedy skills, saying he effortlessly improvised without even trying to be funny.
