Nightmare Spotify User Interface: Issues with Clear Queue, Song Removal, and Playlist Jumps

  • Spotify has an amazing music selection and the fee hike is bearable
  • However, the app itself is severely lacking in basic functionality
  • There are issues like disappearing clear queue button, inability to remove multiple songs, and random jumps between playlists

Alright, listen up, folks. Let’s talk about the absolute nightmare that is the Spotify user interface. I mean, we all love Spotify for its endless music library, right? But seriously, what the heck is going on with their UI?

Let’s start with the basics. Have you ever tried to clear your queue in Spotify? Yeah, good luck with that. The “clear queue” button seems to have a mind of its own, disappearing whenever it feels like it. And don’t even get me started on trying to remove multiple songs from the queue at once. It’s like pulling teeth.

And what’s the deal with the app randomly shuffling you back to your Daily Mix playlist after a few songs from an album? Like, come on, Spotify, can’t you just let me finish an album in peace?

I know, I know. We’re all guilty of it. We pay for the service, so why should they bother improving the UI, right? But seriously, can’t they at least pretend to care about making our user experience a little less painful?

I’ve been using media players since the days of dial-up internet, and yet I still feel like I need a manual just to figure out how to hit play on Spotify. It’s a mess, plain and simple.

So, to all my fellow Spotify users out there, let’s band together and demand better from this giant music streaming platform. Let’s show them that we deserve a UI that doesn’t make us want to pull our hair out.

Do me a solid and share this article with your friends and family. Let’s spread the word and hold Spotify accountable for their subpar UI. Together, we can make a difference.
