Oh, poor Rahul Kohli! He was this close to joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Reed Richards in the upcoming ‘The Fantastic Four.’ Can you imagine him stretching like Mr. Fantastic? Well, we almost got to see it, folks!

The actor known for his roles in ‘iZombie’ and ‘The Fall of the House of Usher’ recently spilled the beans about his audition for the role of Mister Fantastic. In an interview with ‘Salaam Nerds,’ Kohli confessed, “Yeah, I don’t know if I’m allowed to talk about it but I didn’t get it, is the important thing. But on good days, I see the Constantine,”. Ah, the rollercoaster of emotions that comes with auditioning for a big Marvel role!

He went on to say, “It will flare up once and again. And, I love all of them. On good days, you’re like, ‘Man, I’m wanted!’ People really want to see. You’re the guy that people will shout out for anything.” We feel you, Rahul! The highs and lows of Hollywood casting can really play tricks on your mind.

Kohli also shared, “On bad days, ‘It’s a reminder that you’re not the guy. You’re not there. These are the roles you’ll never get.’ So, it’s sweet and it’s perspective. It’s how you feel about yourself.” Aww, it’s okay Rahul, we still love you! Maybe next time, huh?

It’s interesting to note that fans had been suggesting Kohli as part of their dream cast for the Fantastic Four. But alas, Pedro Pascal snagged the role of Mr. Fantastic, alongside Vanessa Kirby as Sue, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Econ Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm. Looks like the competition was tough!

The film is set to be directed by ‘WandaVision’ helmer Matt Shakman and is based on a script by Ric Pearson, Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan, and Ian Springer. Production is slated to begin this summer, with the release date set for July 25, 2025. So, mark your calendars, folks!

Oh, the trials and tribulations of Hollywood casting! But hey, we still have a lot to look forward to with ‘The Fantastic Four.’ And who knows, maybe we’ll see Rahul Kohli in another Marvel project in the future. Keep your fingers crossed and stay tuned for more updates! And hey, if you enjoyed this article, don’t forget to share it with your friends who are Marvel fans too! Let’s spread the Marvel love!
