Is Daniel Radcliffe building his physique to play Wolverine in the MCU?

There’s been a lot of buzz surrounding the possibility of Daniel Radcliffe taking on the iconic role of Wolverine in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Fans and media alike have been speculating about whether Radcliffe’s recent physical transformation is in preparation for the role. And now, Radcliffe himself has addressed the rumors while hooked up to a lie detector.

For years, Radcliffe has been at the top of the list of actors rumored to replace Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. With his recent bulked-up physique, many have been quick to connect the dots and assume that he may be getting ready to step into the superhero’s shoes. However, Radcliffe denies any specific motive behind his newfound physique:

“I got buff because I am obsessive, and I want to… you’ve seen my parents,” Radcliffe revealed in an interview with Vanity Fair’s lie detector series. “They’re like insane fitness people. So that’s just been passed on… but no, no Wolverine. Flattered, but no.”

Despite Radcliffe’s denial, the rumors persist, fueled in part by a Deadpool 3 rumor that suggests Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool will travel through the multiverse to kill popular Wolverine fancasts portrayed as variants. This storyline would make sense, as insiders have hinted at Radcliffe’s casting in the film. However, it’s important to note that nothing has been officially confirmed at this point.

Who else is attached to the Deadpool 3 project?

In addition to the speculation surrounding Radcliffe’s potential involvement in the MCU, there are other notable names attached to the Deadpool 3 project. Shawn Levy, who previously collaborated with Ryan Reynolds on films like Free Guy and The Adam Project, is set to direct the highly anticipated threequel. Notably, Levy has also worked with Hugh Jackman in the past on Real Steel.

The script for Deadpool 3 is being developed by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who wrote the first two installments of the series. It’s worth mentioning that the Molyneux sisters have also contributed to a previous draft of the script.

As of now, Deadpool 3 is scheduled to hit theaters on May 4, 2024. Fans eagerly await any updates on the project and the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. To stay up to date with the latest news, make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
