What are the requirements for an *NSYNC tour according to Joey Fatone?

Ever since the guys of *NSYNC got back together again at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards, rumors have been swirling about the possibility of a true reunion. Justin Timberlake, Lance Bass, Chris Kirkpatrick, JC Chasez, and Joey Fatone kept the excitement going by dropping their new song “Better Place” last month, which marked the first new release from the iconic boy band in over two decades.

With the catchy single to bop along to, it’s no surprise that fans are clamoring for a chance to see the guys on the road again. In fact, a report even revealed that they could make a substantial amount of money if they embarked on a reunion tour.

But is it a possibility? Joey recently weighed in on the idea during a casual interview and revealed one major thing that would have to happen first.

Speaking to ET, Joey mentioned that it felt like “the right time” to get back together in the studio to record “Better Place.” However, he made it clear that they don’t have anything set in stone at the moment. The members of *NSYNC are just as unsure about the future as their most dedicated fans.

“It’s almost like I took you out on a date, we’re gonna hang out a little, we don’t know if we’re actually gonna go out for the next date or just get married and kick it, we don’t know yet,” Joey jokingly explained. He added that he would “never say never” about touring again.

However, there is one crucial requirement for a tour to happen – their label needs to approve it. Joey humorously mentioned, “You’ve got to call Sony! Sony, RCA, we want a tour, we want an album, we want the stuff. The five of us can’t do much. We can just say, ‘Yes, we can try to.'”

So, it seems that even if something does get put in motion, fans should know that there is a sizable roadblock that would delay the plans until after 2024.

Overall, the excitement surrounding the possibility of an *NSYNC tour is undeniable. With the recent reunion at the MTV Video Music Awards and the release of “Better Place,” the fans are eagerly awaiting further news about a full-fledged reunion tour. However, for now, we’ll have to wait and see if their label gives the green light and if the guys themselves are ready to hit the road once again.

In the meantime, fans can continue listening to their favorite *NSYNC songs and remembering the iconic moments of the past. And who knows? Maybe someday soon, we’ll be able to witness a spectacular *NSYNC tour that will bring back all the nostalgia and excitement of their heyday.
