Marvel’s Potential Plan to Introduce Sony’s Venom into the MCU

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige is reportedly eyeing a villain from Sony's Spider-Man universe for a role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Will it be Venom or Morbius? With Venom 3 on the horizon, the future of the Venom series looks promising. Stay tuned for updates!

In the wacky world of superhero movies, Sony’s attempt at creating a Spider-Man villain cinematic universe without Spider-Man has been the butt of many jokes. From cancelled projects to lackluster executions, the Sony Spider-Man-less universe has been a rollercoaster ride of disappointment.

But hold on to your web shooters, because Marvel may want to swoop in and rescue one of those villains from the Sony universe and bring them into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Yes, you heard that right! Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige is reportedly interested in snagging a villain from the Sony Spider-Man universe and giving them a cool (but possibly heartbreaking) role in the MCU.

An insider going by the mysterious name Cryptic4KQual spilled the beans on social media, stating that Kevin Feige has his eye on a villain from the Sony Spider-Man universe. Who could it be? Well, considering that the only villain Sony has managed to do anything remotely sensible with is Venom, it’s likely that Marvel wants to bring Tom Hardy’s Venom into the MCU. But with Hardy set to wrap up his trilogy with the upcoming Venom 3, it’s anyone’s guess what role he might play in the Marvel universe. Maybe it’s Morbius’ time to shine instead?

Speaking of Venom 3, what can we expect from the next installment of the symbiote saga? Well, the movie is being produced by Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, and Hutch Parker, the same team behind the first two Venom movies. Kelly Marcel is stepping into the director’s chair for the first time with this film.

The first two Venom movies, Venom and Venom: Let There Be Carnage, raked in a combined $1.36 billion at the worldwide box office. And if that wasn’t enough, Tom Hardy made a surprise appearance as Venom in the post-credits scene of Spider-Man: No Way Home, teasing the arrival of the Symbiote suit for Tom Holland’s Peter Parker. What a crossover!

So, buckle up, folks! The future of the Venom series is certainly looking interesting, and with the possibility of a Sony villain making their way into the MCU, things are about to get even more chaotic in the world of superhero movies.
