Blackpink’s Lisa is feeling the Christmas spirit and she’s not afraid to show it. On Christmas Eve, she surprised fans with a cover of Britney Spears’ “My Only Wish (This Year)”, and boy did she deliver. The rapper and dancer showed off her vocal chops in this unexpected departure from her usual style. And let’s not forget the romantic, holiday-themed video shot in Paris that accompanied the cover. Talk about a Christmas treat for the Blinks!
But Lisa’s not the only one spreading holiday cheer in the Blackpink camp. The group has big plans for the day after Christmas with a virtual-reality concert showcase titled “Blackpink: A VR Encore” set to stream on Dec. 26. It’s the perfect way to keep the festive spirit going and enjoy some K-pop magic from the comfort of your own home.
And if that wasn’t enough excitement for one holiday season, Jennie dropped a bombshell on Christmas Eve by announcing the launch of her own label and company, OA, in the upcoming year. Looks like she’s ready to take on 2024 with a whole new venture. Maybe she’s looking to spread some holiday joy of her own with some exciting new products. Could we possibly see some OA-branded holiday hoodies next year? Only time will tell.
As for Jisoo and Rosé, we’ll have to wait and see if they’ll have any power moves of their own in the near future. With Blackpink’s history-making achievements, including headlining Coachella and topping the Billboard 200 album chart, anything is possible.
