Will Blueface be on probation after his suspended prison sentence for the Las Vegas shooting?

Blueface, whose real name is Jonathan Porter, has been sentenced to probation for a shooting incident that took place in Las Vegas in 2022. According to 8 News Now, this suspended prison sentence was part of a plea deal brokered between Porter and Judge Kathleen Delaney earlier this year. Porter’s attorneys, Kristina Wildeveld and Lisa Rasmussen, have confirmed that the rapper will serve probation instead of serving time in prison.

The incident in question occurred on the morning of October 8, 2022, when Porter allegedly got into an altercation with Kentabius Traylor at the Euphoric Gentlemen’s Club on the Vegas strip. As they left the venue, Traylor claims he made a joke about Porter flirting with women while driving a “cheap vehicle.” In response, a group of men associated with Porter reportedly attacked Traylor multiple times, a fact confirmed by surveillance footage reviewed by the Las Vegas Sun. Then, Porter allegedly pulled out a weapon and fired at least two shots at Traylor’s car as he tried to escape. Traylor sustained a bullet graze on his hand and multiple bruises during the incident, and he sought medical treatment before reporting the incident to the police. While trying to flee, Traylor also allegedly crashed into parked cars.

During the court proceedings, Traylor took photos with Porter in the background and shared them on social media, insulting the rapper and demeaning him with derogatory language. He expressed his disappointment with the verdict, stating that he knows people who have received longer prison sentences for committing lesser crimes, according to Law & Crime.

Initially, Porter was charged with attempted murder using a deadly weapon and discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle. However, as part of his plea deal, the charges were lowered to battery and firearm discharge, as reported by 8 News Now. Additionally, prosecutors dropped a separate robbery charge against Porter, which had been filed in June after he was accused of stealing a fan’s phone. The charges were dismissed following the resolution of the Las Vegas shooting case.

As of now, Blueface has not publicly commented on his probation status.
