Now, the initial plan for the Red Notice franchise was to film sequels 2 and 3 back-to-back after the first film became the biggest movie in Netflix history. But with the current situation, it looks like those plans may have to be shuffled around. Stuber mentioned, “Aspirationally, I’d like to aim for the end of next year to start, like the fall of ‘24, but I gotta make sure that everybody’s ready.” We can only imagine the coordination required to align the schedules of three global superstars!
But fear not, Red Notice fans! Stuber also hinted that they are working on getting the script for the sequel soon. He emphasized the importance of maintaining the high bar set by the first film, especially in terms of plot and storytelling. With the talent of Rawson Marshall Thurber at the helm, we’re sure the sequel will be worth the wait. Stuber emphasized, “We have three of the biggest global stars in the world, so yes, you know, we want it back, but we want to get it right.”
